why we celebrate Republic day ?

We celebrate Republic Day on January 26th every year to honor the day when the Constitution of India came into effect in 1950.


 

Republic Day is celebrated across India with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The day begins with the President of India hoisting the national flag at Rajpath, New Delhi, followed by a grand parade showcasing the country’s military strength, cultural diversity, and advancements. School children participate in dances, songs, and patriotic performances. Across towns and cities, flags are hoisted, and patriotic events are organized. People also decorate homes and offices with tricolor themes and share Republic Day wishes.
